Drafts your Telegram response
Your agent reads the chat and writes the reply for you, then saves it to the chat as a draft. Nothing is ever sent without you: the agent drafts but you decide what gets sent.

Your computer is the source of truth
Your agent reads chats from the Kondo desktop app running on your computer, so MCP only works while the app is open. Message content is never stored on the MCP relay, and your agent never sees your Telegram login.
Built so your agent can’t go rogue

Sending isn’t possible through the MCP server. Replies are saved as drafts, and nothing goes out until you send it yourself.
No Telegram login shared
You sign in to Kondo, not Telegram. Your agent never sees your Telegram account or the phone it’s paired to.

Your messages are read from the Kondo desktop app on your machine, not from a copy on Kondo’s servers, and only while the app is open.

FAQ for Telegram MCP Server
What is MCP for Telegram?
MCP is how Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI assistants talk to Kondo Desktop. They can read your Telegram inbox and take the inbox actions you approve, while the app is running on your computer.
Can the Telegram MCP server send messages on my behalf?
No. Kondo’s Telegram MCP server has no send tool, and Kondo does not run outreach sequences. Everything your agent writes is saved as a draft in the chat, where it waits until you review it and choose to send. Your agent can read, label, remind, archive and draft, but the decision to send always stays with you.
Does this upload my Telegram chats to Kondo?
No. Message data is read from the Kondo app on your computer. Command and response data passes through Kondo’s relay in memory and is not stored and your Telegram login is never shared with your AI assistant.
Does the desktop app need to stay open?
Yes. MCP only works while Kondo Desktop is running on your computer.
Which AI assistants work with Kondo’s Telegram MCP server?
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot and any other MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP. ChatGPT shows a confirmation step before any write action such as labeling or drafting.
What can I actually ask my AI agent to do in Telegram?
Ask it to find unanswered chats, search by contact name or message text, label incoming chats, snooze chats for follow-up, archive old chats or draft a reply to a specific person. For example: “Find everyone who messaged me about pricing this week and draft a follow-up for each.”
